Review: club Mahindra derby green, ooty.

Hello everybody.

Hope you’re doing well.

It’s said in a quote that vacation are the best days of all. Sometimes when you feel depressed, worried about your daily routine and stressed days it’s your body asking you to take a break. When you go for vacation you come back with more energy and more enthusiasm, thus enjoying your work. What better than a prestigious stay in a hill station.

Recently we visited ooty and chose to stay at club Mahindra derby green. Club Mahindra needs no introduction, since it was my first experience here I thought I would give you guys the first impression of the property.

Started in 1996, the company’s flagship brand “club Mahindra holidays”, today has a fast growing customer base of over 235000 members and 50+ resorts at some of the most exotic locations in India and abroad.

This property is one of the oldest yet well maintained. The property is spread across 5 and half acres. I was pleased to see the city view and race course view from our room. It has almost 89 rooms. Since it’s an old property the structure of the room is little different from the usual ones. The room has amenities like tea/coffee maker, a microwave and other modern amenities. There is seating area for every room so that no one misses out on view outside.

The most favorite part of this property is that it is surrounded by greenery. The different flowers which has different colors will automatically bloom your days. It feels refreshing to be around the beautiful garden and sip on some hot tea. The birds chirping here is much better than the Bangalore hustle bustle. From the time you enter the gate of derby green till you exit, the property will make sure you’ll find greenery all around. At every nook and corner here will make you fall in love with the property. There are relaxing chairs and benches all over the property if at all you get bored with the same view from your room.

The hospitality here is cherry on top of the cake. Every staff working here will make certain that you’re having a great stay. The smiles are so warmth enough to make your day. From the security at the entrance gate to room service person everyone here is so kind and sweet. If there’s any kind of entertainment and fun happening around, they’ll call up individually and ask if interested. To every concern of ours they’ll find a solution.

We stayed here for 2 days so we had 2 complimentary breakfast and 1 buffet lunch here. The complimentary breakfast here had some delicious spread that one cannot resist eating. It included toast, pastries, fruits, juices, cereals, beverages, eggs etc. There is a live counter where you could ask for south Indian style hot dosas. The lunch buffet too had a vast spread. But as I was expecting biriyani for lunch I was little disappointed. There was obviously a tasty spread from north Indian to south. The food here had authentic taste of local food and we all know about the hygiene maintained here.

Overall my experience about my stay here at club Mahindra is forever locked in my memory book. Ooty is in itself a great place to visit especially from Bangalore as it the only nearest hill station. In addition if opted for a club Mahindra stay I am sure anyone’s trip is going to be fruitful and awesome.

Review: xplorabox.

Hello everyone.

Hope you’re doing well.

Being a mom of a toddler I can assure you by now that this is the most difficult phase of all. It’s not only about the 100s of questions they ask each hour but also getting bored in a jiffy. When I think of my childhood days I remember using a term ‘BORED’ is only when we had 2 months of summer vacations and the last few days were kind of boring. And whenever I complained about my boring days to my mom, she would always say start studying for the next year.😉

Now, as a parent myself I know how different is this generation. As I told earlier in my previous blogs that ‘we 90s kid are the only generation who have struggled to become friends with our parents and we are struggling to become friends with our kids’.

This generation is different we cannot help! But the fact that there are people making a real change for keeping a toddler busy which in return helps them grow better physically, mentally and intellectually.

I’ve recently come across the activity subscription box for kids. “Xplorabox” is an unique cocept where in they try to engage kids with all new activities every month. The age curated monthly subscription box has 5 different activities and each activity is totally different from each other. The ‘jungle themed’ box here has 5 activity.

  1. My magnetic wildlife.
  • Motor skills
  • Academic skills
  • Confidence
  • Creative and exploring skills

This activity has a magnetic board, animal cutouts, 1 sheet of dense jungle animals and 1 sheet of cold regions animals.

Each sheet has to be placed over the magnetic board and the child has to match the pictures with the animal cutouts. this keeps them engaged and they really love the magnetic feel whenever they attch a picture.

2. Animal puzzle.

  • Motor skills
  • Academic skills
  • Confidence
  • Play and social skills.

There are 4 cutouts of animals and their babies. This is a jigsaw puzzle. A very innovative way of introducing animals and their babies. As each puzzle has different number of babies with them it’s fun to count the babies too.

3. Match the spots.

  • Motor skills
  • Creative and exploring skills
  • Cognitive skills
  • Play and social skills.

This activity has a board of animal patterns and there are cutouts of each animal.

The child has to recognize the animal pattern and then match it accordingly. Again a very new concept and very engaging.

4. My reptile world craft activity.

  • Motor skills
  • Creative and exploring skills
  • Play and social skills.

This is  a coloring activity which has a board, cutout sheets, 2 colors (paint), 2 sponges, 1 color tray and glue drop sheet.

Exploring paint is every kid’s favorite. This activity has cutouts of few reptiles. The child has to color the reptiles using a sponge and once the reptiles are colored they are all arranged in a big board and thus making a reptile world.

5. Monkey feeder

  • Motor skills
  • Academic skills
  • Cognitive skills.
  • Play and social skills.

This activity has a monkey board which has its mouth open, a tree with a tiny spinner and 12 fruit cutouts. This is my personal favorite too. Basically, a tree has 3 fruits (banana, mango and orange) attached. Every time the child rotates the spinner and it shows any of the fruits, the child has to pick the same fruits from the tree and feed it to the monkey. This game goes on and on.

My personal experience.

  • This is one of the innovative way to keep kids engaged.
  • There are 5 different activity in a single box every month.
  • Each activity has its own benefits to the child and the details about the improvements are listed in the box.
  • All the items provided here has a good quality. It’s totally not a one-time activity and it can be used later on.
  • Each activity is safeguarded in a cloth bag thus there is never a chance of mixing up.
  • It’s an age appropriate box from 2-4, 4-6, 6-8 and 8+.
  • The materials provided has good quality and there is no fear of wear and tear.
  • Each activity has an instruction card and there is no worry of not understanding an activity.

The most important thing about this box is that this is one of the best way to spend some quality time with kids.

another most important factor is that this keeps screen time away.

This box is priced at Rs.1099/-

That’s it for now guys.

Review:My Little Moppet Foods.

Hello everyone.

One thing that stresses out every parent is the food. No not about their food but of those tiny tots who throw tantrum whenever they see a plate or a bowl of food. Kids and food are not a great combination most of the time. We mothers do all way possible to make our kids eat some food. From colorful plates to animal shaped roti. We run behind them as if we are trying to fill our tummies. Picky eaters mom will know how it feels when plate full of food is finished! It obviously calls for a party. It’s also important to include nutritious food. It’s a complete game changer when trying food which has all nutrition in it.

Am all sorted this time with some nutritious and healthy food that I came across.

My little moppet foods.

My little moppet is a brand where they try to serve you ready mix of pancakes, baby food and health drinks. Made by the doctor who has given relief to mothers who struggle to give their kids some nutritious food and I am one of them. She wanted to do this for all the busy moms out there who do not get time to prepare healthy and traditional organic homemade food. Without preservatives and chemicals.

All their products are

no sugar

no baking soda or powder

no additives or preservatives.

They have 3 ranges of pancakes.

1.multi millet pancake mix.

Ingredients include finger millet, sorghum, foxtail millet, whole wheat.

Priced at rs.139 for 150 gms.

2.choco ragi mix.

ingredients include finger millet, whole wheat, 100% pure and natural cocoa powder.

Priced at rs.149 for 150 gms.

3.banana oats mix.

organic oats, raw kerala banana powder, whole wheat.

Priced at rs. 150 for 150 gms.

My personal experience.

I was happy to know that it was started by a mom. Because I know what it feels being a mom and starting an own business so that other moms find easy is something not less than an achievement.

The pancake mix smelled like a traditional food that our grandparents used to make for us. I felt the whole wheat is flavored with ragi or banana or millet.

Easy to use. And no mess at all.

It doesn’t taste sweet but I would say well roasted aroma makes it taste really good.

The pancakes get fluffy when mixed and kept for 5 min.

all the ingredients used are organic which is obviously a better option.

Pancake taste real good even when there is no sugar in it. But would suggest to drizzle some honey to taste even better.

The packaging of the product is quite good with a paper bag and a zip lock. But I would suggest to transfer it to an air tight container.

The price of the pancake mix is budget friendly.

The drinks mix that I received are:

1. chocolate multi grain health drink.

ingredients: kambu, ragi, cholam, thinai, kuthiraivaali, varugu, corn, badam, pista, cashew, kollu, ellu, 100% pure and natural cocoa powder.

Price: rs.199- 200 gms.

2. immuno booster drink mix

ingredients: oats, wheat dalia, almonds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower, sesame, turmeric, cashew.

Price: rs.175- 50 gms.

3. mixed nuts powder.

Ingredients: cashew, pista, badam, turmeric, walnut.

Price: rs. 210- 50 gms.

My personal experience with the health drinks.

As my kid is not a milk lover this was quite challenging for me. But I was happy to see that she drank a glass of the multi grain drink with added sugar.

The drink is tasty but I noticed that roasted aroma lingers around.

Adding mixed nuts powder to milk or pancakes makes the taste little better and yummy.

If you’re kid doesn’t love hot milks it tastes good with chilled milk as well.

One thing that I most liked about these are the ingredients. It has all the traditional health benefited things that I would have never include in my kid’s diet.

The packaging is good but doesn’t have zip lock bag. Thus transfer into an air tight container after opened.

The price of this products are slightly higher than the pancake mix.

Rating 4.5 out of 5.

I would defiantly recommend this product.

That’s it for now

My first bloggers brunch.

Hello everybody.

Hope you’re doing well

recently I had been for a brunch with my fellow bloggers and I thought it would be great to write it here as I want to keep this in my memory book forever.

This was organized by four of the bloggers. I came to know about this brunch from one of the organizer whom I had met only through Instagram. Sometimes I feel so good about social media that I have met such awesome people whom I would never meet otherwise.

I was little nervous about the meet because I had never met anyone. Being an extreme introvert I think its common and I have faced it several times. I try so hard to overcome this but at the end of the day ‘once an introvert always an introvert’.

So that morning was a usual one and I tried my best to finish my chores and served some hot dosa and chutney for my housemates. It was little difficult to finish up all work and be on time for the brunch. But juggling around with my kid and laundry and to get ready was a big task.

Somehow managed everything and was all ready to go to my bengaluru bloggers brunch. So the cafe where the brunch was held is called ‘round-up cafe’ in koramangala. Its situated at the heart of the city. Koramangala is a happening place with shopping, food, entertainment and all fun stuff. With a wide range of all cuisines this is one of the budding cafe in koramangala.

About the ROUND-UP cafe.

It’s a good place to hangout with friends and family. Being located in the center of the city its convenient and a good place to chill and relax. They have a boutique which is the most unusual thing about this cafe. Eat and shop how cool is that!

The designer boutique offers a wide range of beautifully tailor-made designed clothes for men and women. You name an occasion and you’ll find the best one for your occasion.

The ambiance of the cafe stole my heart. With the beautiful decor all over the place and a green themed cafe how gorgeous that sounds. One of the things that I like when I go out for lunch or dinner its the pictures that I take. This cafe is all sorted with right angle of picture with good lighting and awesome backgrounds. What more can you ask.

Now comes the most important feature of the cafe, food! Food is something that can make anyone happy. There is no category when it comes to food. Everyone eats and enjoys! This cafe had wide variety of food from pastas to pizzas. We ordered a few mock tails and my favorite were virgin mojito and peach south. I personally enjoy mojito on all seasons, months or days. For food we had ordered chicken lasagna, fish fillets, pasta alla fungi, grilled chicken breast, chicken schnitzel. My personal favorite are fish fillets and chicken schnitzel. You could even ask them for the best of their dishes and they could happily serve you better.

So overall if you’re looking for good ambiance, good food, good service, quality, quantity etc then this is a must try. If you’re from Bangalore give this place a try.

That’s it about cafe and now about the bloggers meet. It was a good experience for me meeting new people and sharing thoughts. We did click a lot of pictures. Being a blogger its important to click pictures no matter wherever you are because you may be in a situation to write a blog on random topic and these pictures come handy. It’s sometimes a little uncomfortable to be around with people who do not like being on the phone clicking pictures whole day. But on this day I felt like a free bird. Everybody was on same track and knew the importance of clicking pictures and other stuff which only a blogger could understand. Since I had to rush to other commitments I left a little early. A little goodie bag from the organizers is never a bad thing. I then bid a goodbye to all the amazing people I met.

That’s how I spent the day

hope you enjoyed this

until we meet again

stick around.

Eid 2018

Hello everybody.

Hope you’re doing well.

I have been wanting to write this from a long time now, but its either my laptop that always crashed or my bossbaby who is cranky seeing the laptop probably missing her hometown!

So without any further delay lets get started!

Eid day is something that I am most excited of. Not because there is no more fasting but for the immense joy that I feel during the big day! I am energetic throughout the day no matter what comes my way.

We celebrate eid at our natives and that is the brownie point to my energetic vibe. The planning and excitement of going to my native after a month is not less than going on a holiday!

As I am married, things get lil jinxed! Its not all about jumping around, planning the henna designs and worrying about the looks next day. But its more about the blessed day, the good food ,family visits or family time and a lot more of cooking!

Before the moon sighting the previous evening of eid we had a small ifthar party at my in laws! I was a lil occupied with work. But as soon as the moon was sighted and I knew the next day was eid I was very happy! Because I secretly wanted eid to be on Friday! Soon I was seen making preparation for eid. The common things that we see on eid in every house is BIRIYANI! Well I was given, not given but I took the responsibility of the big fat dish! A little fact I love to cook biriyani its the easiest! 😉

Finished up all the work and now comes my favorite part, applying henna! I am not an expert in applying henna in fact I never bothered even trying to apply henna! I love henna and I always used to find someone who would make me happy with their henna designs! But soon I realized there is no one around whom I could depend upon for my love for henna. That’s when I told myself that, yes I am going to do this! Here I am juggling with my henna cone and scribbling until I am pleased!

The next day ie eid day I woke up early happy with my henna stain and did some exercise because I knew the calories that I am going to consume within hours. Eid mornings are the best mornings ever! I am a morning person who can sit idle and enjoy the sunrise. I was now ready with my new clothes all set for eid prayer! Oh wait! Not to forget I had few bites of sweets. Yes that’s important for a person who dint eat sweets for a month!

After eid prayer we wished everyone a happy eid. Now my lil girl gave me a proper hug and wished happy eid..the other thing I like about eid mornings are eid breakfast. Having a breakfast after eid prayer with family is too mainstream. Alhamdulillah!

This time for eid we had decided to visit our cousins and families. When its family visits it’s more of eating and drinking sugar!(to be specific) Being a guest ourselves knew that every house we visit they are going to serve you with delicious food and drinks. So me and my dearest husband planned to ask for a glass of water according to situations. It dint go well with me but my husband manged to drink few glasses of water! And I remember one family offered him a glass of water and a tall glass of falooda( a sweet drink).;) pity on him.

After all the family visits we came back and deep inside I knew I had to prepare the biriyani. It was almost done the last night but few things that was kept for last minute. But all thanks to my mother in law who gave the final touch to my biriyani and made me tension free after the tiring visits.alhamdulillah!

Soon it was lunch time and my family meets at the dining table for the most important time of the day! Ah I am missing biriyani:( after a pleased lunch I was waiting for the desserts.

Now, I dint not have desserts for a month and have been waiting for it. I am sorry if the above sentence is repeated its not less than a milestone for me! I was extremely happy with my dessert and I quickly had an affair with it!

Eid evening begins with a good cup of tea and a lot of pictures. We usually take pictures at this point of time and its all about poses and poses! With kids around it becomes lil challenging as their mood is totally unpredictable.

After a lot of pictures our bags were packed and it was time for us to leave to my house. I never felt much differences in my house or at my in laws! I equally enjoy both the houses upto certain limits! Its not like I can stay at my place for a longer time. After a week or so at my natives I get bored and I would want to come back to my house in Bangalore at the earliest.

Eidi is something that I was most excited during eid because I could collect few bucks for all my good cravings during college. But now I am the one giving eidi to my cousins and I do not get any! How sad that sounds?

The last few hours of eid was spent at my granny’s, good dinner at my place and dozed off real quick!

That’s how I ended my eid.

Tel me how was your eid.

That’s it for now.

Until we meet again,

stick around.

Ramadan healthy recipes

Hello everybody.

Hope you are doing well.

Ramadan has always been an experimental and cooking month than a spiritual one. not like 100% food. I’ve always enjoyed hogging the hot snacks and sweet dishes in Ramadan. This is fifth Ramadan after I got married and only last year I knew i wasn’t eating healthy. But last year wasn’t the turning point yet I don’t remember why I dint stop binge eating.

But this time I was very much confirmed that I will stick to healthy eating and no sugar content. Yes, that white sweet thing just makes me gain weight in the body and nothing else. However, I love sweets and this time I am just stopping it! Not like forever but 10% of what I used to eat before.

My Trip To Mysore.

Hello everybody.

Hope you are doing well.

Mysore a city close to Bangalore is a backup plan for all long weekends. Only a bangalorean knows what the true importance of Mysore is😉

I have been to Mysore a zillion time and trust me am not complaining here. My dad used to take me every year to this place and I have seen almost everything. for me destination is not important I enjoy drives and talks during the trip also not to forget I get motion sickness.

IMG_0377My husband seldom goes to Mysore for his work and I never miss a chance. I bump into car as if I have got an invitation or if I say my husband begged me to join.  That’s hardly the case. As I told earlier I love the drive not the destination.

So, we recently visited Mysore you would know if you are following me on Instagram. My sister came over to Bangalore and we planned for this trip. Obviously, we planned for other places like ooty, Goa and Hyderabad. What comes better when there is already a backup plan done!

So, we planned for a staycation in Mysore.

IMG_0315We started around 5.30 am from Bangalore on 22nd of April 2018. We started early to skip some traffic and yes, we did skip traffic😊

We had our breakfast near ramnagar and continued. I dint eat much because I was sleepy. Even if I dint eat much I had got some power nap if I can say. I love talking and which women doesn’t? yes, I am talkative, but my husband knows me better when I say I am talkative. So, my chit chat started right after our small break in between. it continued for almost an hour and my energy drained. Craved for some Mangalorean breakfast but couldn’t get any and survived with cupcakes☹

We stopped at hunsur for husband’s office work and continued from there around 11.30. my sister was much excited for this trip because she was waiting to sleep alone in a hotel room.

We stayed at Carlson by Radisson. This trip was more of relaxing than of any sort of sightseeing.

IMG_0345We did visit mysore zoo to entertain our toddler. She was happy seeing all animals. It’s a 3 km walk inside zoo not like I dint knew it before and I was just waiting to come out of it. I have visited zoo a hundred times and by now i have seen all animals grow and vice versa.

IMG_0564IMG_0394After zoo visit we went straight to the hotel room, enjoyed pool side and play area. My favorite thing about staying in a hotel is to make a hot tea and enjoy the view. Ah, how much I love it and how much I miss it!

For dinner we had some authentic mangalore sea food. I loved it to bits! After that watched ipl and slept off. The next morning was more of relaxing and enjoying the calmness that place had. My daughter was with my sister and that’s how we got some “we” time. just sat in front of our large window which was all green outside with a cup of tea, and just did nothing. Alhamdulillah! I love times when me and him sit together either talking or doing nothing.

IMG_0484After that we went for our buffet breakfast. So many options to choose from. South Indian, north Indian, English breakfast, desserts! I get drooled thinking about it. I take almost everything I like and end up eating only few of my favorites.

IMG_0453After a heavy breakfast took some pictures. Less for keeping it for memories more for updating on instagram. It was time for us to checkout and hit reality again. We reached home around evening and that’s how my trip ended. Alhamdulillah.

It’s a greatest blessing from Allah for this life. My loving husband and a small world of mine. I got a message on Instagram about my previous blog saying “you’re very lucky everyone doesn’t have a life like you”

First up Alhamdulillah! Second, I never compare my life with others. Whatever comes in life good or bad I face it and I don’t complain. Its easier to complain than to be thankful. Never compare a person who is higher in status, beauty, money and other pleasing things than you. rather see a person who doesn’t have what you have, and they are struggling to get what you have got it easily. And then you’ll know the importance of life. I am a person who is happy with the tiniest things in life! No am not joking ask my husband!! Yes, but I quite often plan(PLAN) for a vacation. But that’s okay!

That’s it guys.

Until we meet again,

Stick around.

Every weekend ever

Hello everybody.

IMG_4409It’s been long am here. I am off mainly because I usually write my blogs only when my boss baby sleeps and in recent days I am giving her company when she sleeps.

Today’s blog is quite interesting for me to write mainly for the reason I have plenty things to spill on. The blog ie every weekend ever is from my perspective, but you may find something relatable also.

Mondays are my most uninterested day of the week obviously for the fact that you need to hit the whole week again. Yes, I am not a working woman but still it hits me hard. My main reason for that Monday blues is the meal planning for the week, lunch box scenes and to keep my toddler busy.

My planning for weekend usually starts on mid-week when am already waiting for the weekend. Apart from me, my weekend planner ie GOOGLE always comes to rescue. My first search would be places to visit in Bangalore. And my google shows up with the tourist places around. Dear google I have been to all the tourist places you suggest on every Monday morning on every week, you must know me better by now!

IMG_6293IMG_7190I soon get fed up with the tourist spots and I go one step ahead. I start searching on weekend getaways from Bangalore. My search list is now filled with 10 must visit places for your weekend getaways. I scroll and scroll (impressed with google) finds something interesting immediately call up my husband and tell him about it. Don’t forget this is mid-week still and I don’t even think twice before calling up my husband who is busy. He says let’s come and talk over and hangs the calls.

staycation at salem.

That doesn’t end there. I am not much pleased with results and now I search for staycation near Bangalore. Now I am on cloud 7 seeing all the options for a staycation, yes cloud 7 because cloud 9 would be staying inn there no?

staycation at mysore.

I see all the well-furnished rooms, amenities, swimming pool etc etc. I now finalize that staycation is the best plan for this weekend.

As I am a wife and a mother I re check each expenditure twice. By saying this I know I planned for a staycation just few seconds ago. So, the plan automatically drops off because staycation every weekend is not possible.

IMG_4350IMG_2145IMG_0780That’s when reality hits and I decide to google any new restaurants nearby. Because we usually go to the comfort zoned restaurants. I waste almost 100s of mbs when I finally give up and decide to go with the flow on the weekend. That’s how my week day goes by.

The excitement gets to another level when its Friday. One for the fact I always make sure to eat something good for lunch on Fridays because it’s a blessed day of the week. The second thing about Friday is that its weekend.

IMG_8706The excitement of going for a ride on Friday night is something that I always look up to. I am not the person who loves expensive food rather I would be happy to have a scoop of ice cream. So, I am super happy that’s its finally weekend (no plans yet). I usually like early morning drives but since my baby it gets hard to wake her up early in the morning just for a drive. So that is also skipped now, and I have some real high expectations for the evening since its Saturday. My Saturday lunch is usually a yum biriyani and nap after that.

Saturday evening starts with my tea and my grumpy face towards my husband because I didn’t conclude on where to go. He is ready to take anywhere but it’s always me who is not sure of anything.

He: mall?

She: afaf(our daughter) will be bored.

He: parks?

She: filled with mosquitos.

He: play areas?

She: crowded.

He: shopping?

She: ill check online!

He: lakes?

She: it’s too late to go there.

He: family visit.

She: next time.

That conversation right there is so us on every weekend. He gives up. By now it’s already 7 and we as usual plan for a dinner. We have got few of our favorite restaurants and we keep polling on them.

trip to hyderabad.

So, the Sunday morning usually starts around 9 to 9.30 when my husband comes home hungry after his cricket match. Sundays are the laziest. I literally don’t want to do anything. But as a mother and a wife, is there anything called I don’t want to do! So that’s how I clean up dishes, cook some food and that’s it! I don’t have high expectations on Sundays as my husband is completely off that day. On evenings we take our daughter to nearby play grounds and that’s the poor ending of my weekend.

trip to mysore.

After all the gloomy paragraphs above I want to make clear that its not like I do not enjoy weekends its still the best alhamdulillah. I am okay if my plan doesn’t go with the flow I am happy how my every weekend is spent. I try to spend the most time with my family because that’s important for your inner peace.

Its very easy to get disappointed these days thanks to social media who plays the major role in this. When we see the stories of other friends in facebook, whatsapp, Instagram etc its normal to get jealous, compare your life with them and so on! I also update stories on my social media app fulfilling my blogger ritual and, I also see many of my fellow bloggers or my friends story. But I make sure I never compare my life with them. if i get real jealous like REAL jealous i either stop seeing that particular persons page or i pray to allah to give that person more! trust me guys that really helps! Social media is just 25% of real life. So be happy with whatever you have, and you’ll have a great life in shaa Allah (if Allah wills).

I am also sorry for some serious lesson in the previous para. Hope you have liked this little session on my weekend life.

That’s it for now

Until we meet again

Review softsens baby care range.

Hello everybody.

Hope you’re doing well.

IMG_6400Being a mother, the quest for safer and organic products is never sorted. I as a mother google a lot about how my daughter can stay away from all the chemicals around. Well, I think I am quite satisfied with the bath and baby care range from the brand called Softsens.

If you are following me on Instagram, you might already know that I recently received softsens’s baby care range and used it on my boss girl. She seems to be enjoying and I thought of reviewing it here. So, let’s get started!

I received their complete baby care collection to try on that includes the following.

massage oils are not my kid’s thing now because she doesn’t really like being oiled. And for the fact that she has left the age of massages long back. i still gave a try. The oil is light which is very good when you give a good massage. It spreads evenly and makes skin soft. What I most liked about it is its not greasy and oily at all after use. I am going to use it more often now. keeps her skin well hydrated.

200 ml-rs.165.

There were 2 baby soap range

Milk bar and natural bar.Its paraben free and no added colors makes them unique. It leaves the skin soft and the fragrance is quite appealing. its rich, creamy soft lather that cleanses the skin. It has a new born fragrance. Refreshed many of my nostalgic moments.

price: 75g-rs.45

100gm*3 -rs.135.

IMG_E6843The wash has been our favorite and my kid enjoys using it. Its mild and the fragrance is quite appealing. The wash is enriched with natural milk cream and shea butter. Its transparent in color and foams well. It is not very thick in consistency, lil watery. Little amount of it suffices the whole body.

200 ml -rs.142.

IMG_E6851This was the first time I used shampoo on my babys hair. Obviously for the fact that I dint wanted my babys hair to dry out and look frizzy. But my first experience experimenting with softsens baby shampoo has been a hit. It doesn’t dry out and hair looks good enough even after hours of shampooing. Nourishes the babys hair and scalp. It makes hair soft and smooth. The fragrance again is like the other products of softsens. Enriched with natural plant-based essential oils. My baby’s hair smelled amazing and lasted really long. its transparent and foams really well. A coin size of it is good to go. Its also tear free which is best part of this shampoo.

200 ml-rs.156.

IMG_E6847Baby lotion are the ones which I never skip because of the frequent climate changes your baby need moisturization. This lotion is white in color and I loved their consistency. I always liked lotion with a little thick base. It moisturizes skin well and doesn’t dry out quick. It hydrates and nourishes babys skin leaving it soft. The fragrance is similar like that of other products of softsens. And I must say the fragrance has stayed on my Baby’s skin for almost 12hrs.

200 ml- rs.142.

IMG_E6849I use baby cream only on face. I never experimented on creams and always glued to one expensive and imported product. I always step back when it comes to trying on babys face. Well when I read about their baby care range I was assured that product is all worth for such budget friendly range. Enriched with natural milk cream and shea butter. Its white in color and a coin size suffices. It keeps the skin nourished and hydrated for hours. Fragrance is mild and doesn’t last longer. It is little greasy when applied and dries out quick.

Wipes are the ones which is my favorite among all baby care products. Why u ask? Its because of its refreshing smell and constant mommy use! the wipes I received contains aloe vera. Its free from paraben, alcohol and color. The wipes were smaller than usual may be because of the smaller packaging. Its obviously travel friendly. I loved the smell. Its too good. I used this more on myself.

price:pack of 20-rs.60

pack of 80-rs.200.

Baby powder is one I never used because of the effect of talc. The baby powder from softsens claims to be hypoallergenic. It contains natural plant-based ingredients which protects the baby’s skin from prickly heat making baby feel cool and comfortable. Its very light and I enjoyed using it.

Price: 200 gm-rs.110.

Pros of softsens

100% safe for baby.

Not tested on animals.

Free of parabens and harmful chemicals.

Contains pure and natural plan-based ingredients and essential oils.

Budget friendly

Fragrance is amazing and similar.

Loved the color coordinated packaging.

Loved their motto “inspired by moms,  developed by experts.

I felt all the products smelled same.

I also did not like the foams of the bath care range.

i would definitely recommend this.

I try the baby products first on myself then on my baby!

Rating;4 OUT OF 5.

Their product is available here

also available on online stores like amazon, flipkart, firstcry, etc.

That’s it for now

My Trip To Dubai.

Hello everybody.

IMG_0680We had recently visited Dubai my current favorite obsession. Well that was not the case before I visited Dubai for the second time. I never wanted to visit Dubai coz my pregnancy had started there, and I had nostalgic and weird feeling after I left from there. But the sudden planning of our first family vacation and the excitement made me forget every bad memory of my first pregnancy. Also, for the fact I didn’t see much of Dubai in my first trip.

So, our adventures trip started on December 20th, 2017 from Cochin international airport. i was obviously excited unaware of what is going to happen with us? (nothing serious). I was worried about the journey because keeping a toddler busy for 3 and half hours at a stretch is impossible. Since our flight was at mid night it was less of a worry. And alhamdulillah my kiddo slept throughout the journey.

IMG_1750We have our family staying in Dubai and the trip was more like a get together. Every day’s schedule was pre planned like where to go, where to have lunch and dinner etc etc etc.! we wanted to cover whole of Dubai in 10 days!! How silly! To cover up the whole of Dubai mall itself needed a day or two. And to add up we had 4 toddlers around with 3 prams of different colors. Sometimes all 4 of them wanted to sit in one certain pram and I remember pushing prams with no kids on it!

We had covered most of the places during this trip like palm jumeriah, burj khalifa, burjul arab, jbr walk, citywalk, downtown, emirates zoo, marine drive, al mamzar beach, dubai desert safari, Ferrari world, global village, kite beach, abu dhabi, al ain, dubai museum, creek harbor, BBQ at creek park. wohoo! did we really cover all these in 10 days?!

We had also binged on so many things I cannot name one. All the famous and yummy food were tried, and tons and tons of calories added to our system!I don’t regret a single calorie because they have some amazing food I must admit and its worth every single calorie!

can u see my kid munching?

Well Coming back to my kid she was the crankiest. I do not know what was wrong with her. She demanded every kind of chocolates, toffees, and what not! There were times when I used to sit in car and dint go site seeing. I used to carry a bag full of snacks just to keep her engaged. She was happy at home but as soon as we step outside she would start her thing. My kiddo is not a cranky baby at all. She has always been a calm girl who would be in her limits. Yes, she is naughty! But to a certain level it’s totally fine. That was the case with my kiddo on my trip.

Coming back to my trip, I enjoyed this trip to my fullest ignoring the fact about cranky kid. I have literally fallen in love with the city. They have some amazing places to visit, variety of food in all cuisines and such a clean city. they have really amazing options for shopping budget friendly and lavish range.

IMG_1008One of thing I enjoyed the most is about their masjids. They have a lot of masjids everywhere and beautiful masjids. When travelling to places its hard to find a proper place to offer our prayer. But in dubai its always sorted. The masjids are beautiful and well maintained. They have a separate ladies’ prayer room in every masjid. It used to make me feel good and i desired for praying more!

Since we were there for the new year (I do not celebrate) and this time burj khalifa had planned for the first lazer light show. It established a new Guinness World record for the largest lazer light and sound show on one single structure. But unfortunately, we couldn’t go due to heavy traffic that day. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the cracker show in Sharjah in our balcony. It was very beautiful, and I never saw such glamour’s thing in my life.

Alhamdulillah my trip to dubai is a huge memory that I am going to cherish through out my life. I never wanted this trip to end (how unrealistic😉). As told earlier this was a mix of a family trip and a family get together, I loved every bit of it. I hope we visit dubai every year!

That’s it for now

Feel free to comment on your thoughts.

Until we meet again,

Stick around.

Stressed about your board exams?

Hello everybody.

Hope you’re doing well.

This is the short blog on point.

Today’s topic is much interesting to all those who are attending BOARD EXAMS.

Many of the students get stressed out during exams. Mainly because of the pressure of others or worrying about the admission in certain college for future.

I want to make one thing clear here is that stress is not taking you anywhere. I say this to my sister who is going to attend her first board exam of her life. Board exams are given a level up importance because of all those aunties who are going to call you on your results and hoping you have got lesser marks than her daughter/son (Indian).

Like seriously? Are u going to stress out on your exams thinking about them. Well I went through this and now I feel worst about it.

Boards are just like other exams and its not something which everybody would be scared off. some of them even risk their life.In fact, India has one of the highest rate of suicides among people aged between 15 and 29. Suicides are not the solution for anything.

You need to face life because that’s the reality.

Some tips:

  • Never ever cheat on your exams be faithful to your own self.
  • drink a lot of water and keep your body hydrated. Also choose nutritious food over junk food.
  • Don’t compare yourself to another.
  • Be confident about what you have studied.
  • Be positive always. Do not stress about how your paper going to be rather be positive that you are going to do well.
  • Do it for yourself. Don’t do it because someone is asking you to score good.
  • Right before you get the question paper, be relaxed and calm. Ask god to bless you and be positive.
  • Do not discuss your answer sheets after your exams.
  • Try to get enough sleep right before the exams.
  • Always take a quick break and give your mind some space to be calm.
  • According to google, eating chocolates before studying increases your chances of understanding information.
  • Study routines are very important. Some can study up to midnight and some can be an early bird. So, it’s better to plan accordingly.

That’s some tips from me. Please DO NOT STRESS DURING YOUR EXAMS. I can say that 100 times.

I pray to my ALLAH to ease everybody who is attending their boards. Best of luck everyone.

That’s it for now

Until we meet again

Stick around.

Review:Himalaya baby lotion and Himalaya baby soap.

Hello Everybody.
IMG_2885Babies are the most delicate and close to our heart creatures. When it comes to exploring them to the outside world and outside elements it gets real tough for baby as well as baby’s skin. A Mother Daughter Duo

Hello everybody.

IMG_1171Daughters are a blessing and I believe it to the deepest of my heart. The time I held her in my arms I knew my prayers were answered. I know I sound a lil cheesy but that’s okay!

Being a mother, you know what’s exactly to be a daughter. I prayed for a daughter the next day of my pregnancy. Chose a name in a month. When I knew I was blessed with baby girl I was overwhelmed! It’s like your childhood picture just got a life! I never had an issue that my baby should look like me in fact I wanted her to resemble like her father.

I have so much affection towards her name and everything related to her. The family feel was felt only after she came into our lives. the other day when she was taking her afternoon nap and I was just sitting lame and wondering what I was doing all alone before she came on the scene.

My life has changed immensely after my child’s birth and yes am happy about it! I also need to agree it was difficult at the beginning being a new mom, new experiments, new world all together. From using clothes to applying a cream for your lil one everything was double checked from a new mommy and new mommy’s mommy. (u know what I mean). Every damn kind of advices were given (obviously free ones) for a new mom and my new baby. I personally did not take much advices except from my doc and my mom. What I learnt is that every baby is different, and every baby has a whole different story and your experiments with your lil one will make you choose what’s best for your baby!

My bonding with my daughter started when I was with her alone. The smiles she gave me even when I am not looking at her. The struggle of crawling was all worth when I was standing in the finish line cheering up. From standing to baby steps that she took, were as if proving it to me that I can do it for you mother!

that’s how my daughter pose for a family picture;)

The way she copies me in wearing a scarf or some words that I say, makes me feel how she keeps me on focus every day and every minute. the way she complains to her abbu for not giving her favorite chocolate. Wait! When did she grow up? I want to hold her all in my arms and enjoy every little bit of her!

We are the strongest pair at home against our only man! Its easy to convince my hubsy to take us out for a pizza or a burger! Why u ask? My daughter does the magic. Which of the fathers has denied their daughters command?

Obviously, I utilize the best of the scene and 1<2! And the babes win!

But sometimes I am lil jealous of my man loving her more😉. May be fate is playing around! I now know exactly what it feels when my mom used to tell to take that extra dosa or when am going to be back home and every damn damn thing. Everything she told me has a deep meaning now because I am a mother. i know how it feels to be a mother. sometimes when my daughter plays patience game with me i really feel that I must have done the exact thing to my mother. I feel fate is just taking turns and this is my turn.

Although I am happy everything about her it’s the time I blame. How fast my baby turned into a toddler and soon a preschooler. I want to enjoy and cheer everything she does in life and I’ll assure to be there with her in every milestone in shaa allah.

Happily ever after

Hello everybody

How to win your husbands heart.

Happily, ever after is a myth for some.

20130920_105205Well I am here today to break that and share some real tips for wives. [from my WhatsApp video]

1.Accept him as he is because Allah/god has chosen him for you.

We all know that nobody is perfect.

2.Always share your happiness and sadness with him.

We as wives always share our happiness but when it comes to our sorrows or distress we either hide it or act as if everything is fine. It can be applied to the other way around. When our husbands are sad or not in mood we should understand the situation, and try to help him out.

3.Learn to compromise.

This the key factor for all the happy marriages we see. Our parents or our grandparents. It sounds hard, but it is easy when you apply it on your real life.

4.Constantly reminding your husband that you love him.

One of the easiest when its your first few times after marriage but really gets hard later. When you say it you should really mean it.

5.take best care of him when he is ill.

I think this part is the easiest and we are already an expert in taking care of others.

6.Respect and love his family.

Always take care of his family as if its yours.

7.keep your disagreements hidden.

As a woman we know how it is losing an argument. But sometimes if you already know that certain topics can lead to an argument, stay out of it. And always apologize first.

8.race to the door when he arrives.

Leave all the chores behind and welcome him with a smile.

9.surprise him with gifts or cook his favorite meal.

Men do love surprises and pampering. Plan a surprise for him with gifts or handmade card or anything that he loves.

Not to forget his favorite meal. Always ask him what is his current favorite meal because men do not stick to one favorite meal. It changes according to season, time, hour or even minute😉.

10.make dua(pray)for him.

We all love our husbands to infinity. Pray for them. Ask our creator to bless them always with good health and prosperity.

We all know that he will act as our best friend when needed. Also, he will take care of you like a baby when in need.

Never backbite him. Respect him for whatever he is.

Review:clean and clear brightening berry face wash

Hello everybody.
So, this is my official first review.

IMG_2291I have been using clean and clear morning energy face wash for years now and I am quite impressed with it. I am that category person who feels face wash does all the magic. I started using this product right after my marriage. Just randomly picked from a supermarket obviously attracted to the tiny cute bottle.

About the face wash.
Name:Clean and clear morning energy face wash brightening berry.
It is oil free.
It has natural berry extracts with bursting beads.

What I really love about this product is that bursting beads. I enjoy the stinging sensation it gives when you massage your face with it. I even try to burst it on my pimple and gently rub through it.

I have literally felt the difference when i had forgot my face wash in native and i had to stick my school days companion SOAP.i could feel my face rough. i really felt bad about it. the next day i rushed to my supermarket to get it. after i used it i felt home!

The rich foam of this face wash rigorously cleans dirt and oil. It really gives that energetic vibe when your skin feels dull. I absolutely love the berry fragrance it contains and the color. As it says in the packaging that ‘gives you morning energy anytime of the day’ is authentic.
A coin size of it and you are done for the day.
I really love their packaging. It comes with purple flip top and a transparent bottle with pink liquid and bursting beads. The flip top of this bottle makes sure that it does not spill and is a great travel companion.
The face wash claims to have a special ingredient that helps in preventing common skin problems, without over drying.

The face wash is available in all local stores and online.
Its costs up to rs.70 for 50ml.
And rs.130 for 100ml.
Its expiry is mostly 2 to 3 years from manufacture.
Absolutely budget friendly.
The only downside of this product is that there are no ingredients mentioned in the packaging.
Rating :4.5 out of 5.
Of course, yes!
